Cybersecurity is ever so critical, as we now live in a world where cybercriminals and unrelenting attacks are unrivaled.

The internet has exposed us to a plethora of wicked influences that have never been more diversified and difficult to combat. With this, the hacking world has grown at the same rate as cybersecurity solutions. Our world today has become increasingly dependent on technology than ever before, and this tendency is not expected to halt anytime soon.
With Data breaches that potentially lead to identity theft have been uploaded on social media sites, Cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive now hold sensitive information including social security numbers, credit card numbers, and bank account data. The truth is, our world depends on technology every day, whether you are a person, a small company, or a major global corporation. Adding to this is the development of cloud-based services, inadequate security for these services, smartphones, and the Internet, creating a host of new security vulnerabilities.
What is Cybersecurity?
Cybersecurity is the process of safeguarding against malicious cyberattacks that aim to obtain unauthorized access to all technologies in the likes of, computers, servers, electronic systems, mobile devices, enterprise data, and networks. These attackers use a unique combination of skills and tools to find computer security risks and vulnerabilities in both technology and human behavior. While adopting new technology, intelligent cloud security solutions should be used in conjunction with robust password restrictions, such as multi-factor authentication, in order to prevent unwanted access to client data.
Most Common Cyber Attacks:
A variety of cyber-threats exist; these are some of the most common:
Malware: is a common kind of cyberattack that employs malware to carry out illegal activity on the victim's computer system. Malicious software (commonly referred as a virus) like Ransomware, spyware, command and control attacks, as well as a wide range of other types of attacks are all included in this category.
Social Engineering: A social engineering attack is designed to trick and psychologically manipulate users into making security mistakes or revealing sensitive information.
Phishing: The purpose of phishing is to steal personal information such as login or credit card details by sending a bogus email that looks similar to one from a well-known source.
Ransomware: Ransomware is a type of malware attack used to lock a victim's computer, encrypt personal files, and demanding payment to unlock it.
DDoS: The distributed denial-of-service attack involves overwhelming a server, service, or network with Internet traffic in an attempt to disrupt normal traffic. It is intended to deter normal customers from doing business with the organization.
Why You Need Cybersecurity
As digital technologies evolve, the number of devices and users increases, and with this, the number of cyberattacks will grow. Recent reports show that a computer in the US is attacked every 39 seconds by hackers. Individuals, governments, for-profit and nonprofit companies’ and organizations, and educational institutions all face this danger. In order to address cybercrime, strong cybersecurity is essential. Cybersecurity requires continuous attention. Assess your cybersecurity risk on a regular and proactive basis so you or your company know what kind of threats to look out for.
